Icebreaker Triathlon

Ken and I finished our first triathlon of the year yesterday. It was freezing cold, seriously windy, and in reverse order, but we had a great time! I will post some pictures and give you all the details (which will probably only be interesting to Emily)very soon! Until then, we will be icing our soar muscles and taking a nice Sunday nap.

3 YEARS!

Last week Kenny and I celebrated our 3 YEAR ANNIVERSARY! We both work all the time, so we just made a quick trip up to the lovely Daniels Summit Lodge for the weekend. We had a great time, eating, relaxing at the spa, watching movies, and eating some more. Their fattening chicken friend steak is to dies for. I had it for breakfast and dinner! Mmmmmm!
I am so blessed to be married to Kenny! Our marriage is far from perfect but we work hard at it together, and that makes us stronger. Kenny thanks for being my best friend in the world! I love you!

Check out all the snow that was just outside our deck.

Eatin' din-din.

Kickin' it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY EM!

This is one of my favorite faces on the planet. Words cannot express the love that I have for Emily Waltman. She is an amazing person, and the best friend a girl could have. Currently she is living far far away in the land of London, England. I miss her dearly! I can't wait for her to visit this summer, so I can squeeze her tight and rug her cute growing belly.
Em, I know this is a day late, but I thought of you ALL day yesterday! I hope you had a wonderful birthday. I love you to pieces!

Walt Disney World!

Well ladies and gents, when it comes to my blog it is either famine or flood. So grab your life jackets because I feel a storm a'comin.

Two weeks ago we went on an AMAZING vaca to the sunny state of Florida! Kenny's parents surprised us with a week-long trip with the entire family. While we were their we hit up every amusment park in existance. In fact, on one particular day Ken, Brady and I went on one coaster 12 TIMES! It was the most fun I have had in a LONG time! I cannot thank Rand and Peg enough for their generosity. I have the best inlaws in the world.

*Guest Blogger *

Hello Everyone!

While McKenzie and Kenny were in warm, sunny Florida enjoying the sun rays and happiness of Disneyworld, she left me to blog for her. I'm ok with that. You know why? Because I have some good stuff to dish about them. Now, I understand that all ya'll (readers of the Johnson blog) are friends and family with them. We are too! We (and when I mean we, I mean husband and I), will claim our connection through the ward. However, our friendship (mine and McKenzie's) didn't start there.

McKenzie and I met our freshman year, and were both ambitious enough to take Anatomy our freshman year (I know, what were we thinking? Don't worry, I dropped it three weeks into the semester). Both determined to make it into the prestigious and ever-so-competitive UVSC dental hygiene program. We took several of the prerequisites together and had many study sessions with our brains running on the sugars from Swedish Fish. I think all of you know how contagious Kenzie's cute laugh is--needless to say we weren't very quite in the library. Anyway, McKenzie obviously went onto hygiene, and I to other things...our paths never to cross until summer of 2007 when we moved into their ward. We now hold regular play dates with our cute puppies. Now, I know most of you really don't care about the Hagen and Johnson friendship. I just wanted ya'll to know who this random girl was writing and posting weird videos in their blog (since we don't really have any mutual friends).

Now to the good stuff. We were rockin' out one night and I just happened to have my video recorder. Here you go, our garage band:

and if you didn't get enough, here's more:

Looking at older posts (Valentine's Day) I get the feeling that this isn't Kenny's first time to sing like this. My question is, why hasn't he quit his day job yet?

Happy Valentines Day!

We sure have been enjoying the festivities of Valentines around here. We went to a party, hosted by Devin and Jen, and had a blast! We had a delish mystery date dinner (so hilarious). And after the murderer was revealed it was time for some KAREOKE. As usual, it was a great time had by all. I seriously love all of Kenny's high school friends and their spouses!
Last night Ken took me out to dinner at Pizzaria 712, and then to Definately, Maybe. The foods was wonderful;if you havn't been to this cute little place yet I hightly recommend it. And I LOVED the movie! I balled like a baby. For all you girls out there it is a must see, and Ken actually gave it an 7.5 on the "chick-flick" ranking system, which is saying a lot for him.
Ken got me Hairspray and some yummy perfume that I have had my eyes on. It is called Light Blue, from Dolci and Gabbana. Everytime I where it I can't stop smelling myself.
I got him some work out shorts (red and white one for Valentines of coarse) and an appointment to get new crowns on his four front teeth. Weird, I know. But when Ken was little he got hit in the mouth with a bat. He has had crowns on his anterior teeth ever since. The last time he got them done was like 10 years ago and they are not looking so spry these days. This is something he has wanted to do forever so I suprised him with an appointment to finally get them done. Don't worry I will take some before and after pictures and post them for all you RDH's out there that actually care about this stuff!
Anywho...Yeah for Valentines Day! I LOVE you all!

A Plug

I just have to give a shout out to one of my new favorite stores. The reason I love REAL DEALS home decor so much is because not only is it cute as can be, it is also CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP! Leaving me more money to burn on other "needs". There is a Real Deals on Centers Street in AF, or you can find one in a cute, old Victorian style home in Springville. They are the same chain, but they are seperately owned. So they are a slightly different. I personally like the Springville store quite a bit better, but they are both great. Here are a couple pics of my lovely Real Deal purchases. And if any of you gals out there want to visit the store and need a shopping partner, I am always up for it!

This is cuter in person. The flash of my camera really brings out the ugly stuff I have hidden inside-try to ignore. It has a cute black marble top, and I am not kidding you, it was a steal of a deal!

This is the top of my cabinets. Don't mind the dust.

I don't know how to turn these dang pictures!
